DAY 1: Arrive in Baltra – Transfer to Puerto Ayora (Santa Cruz Island): Visit the Highlands:
Arrival from Quito or Guayaquil. At the airport in Baltra, we will meet up with our English speaking guide who will transfer us to Puerto Ayora (Santa Cruz Island). Here we will have lunch and after a short rest we we will visit the Highlands of Santa Cruz Island. Here we can enjoy a wonderful chance to see giant tortoises in their natural habitat.

DAY 2: Full Day Navigable Tour to ONE of the following islands
Depending on the dates and/or navigable site available, pick-up from the hotel will be early on the morning (either 5 or 8 AM) to take you to the small vessel at the embarkation point (either Puerto Ayora dock or Itabaca Channel) for a unique close-up with wildlife and endemic vegetation. The destination can be either Santa Fe, South Plazas, North Seymour OR Bartolomé. The activities will include hiking, snorkeling, swimming and breathtaking sightseeing. After land and sea excursions, we will return back to the hotel in Santa Cruz where you can relax and later on have dinner at the restaurant specified by the guide. Overnight in Santa Cruz. * destination depends on availability

DAY 3: Santa Cruz Island: Ch. Darwin Station Transfer to Isabela Island – Flamingos Lagoon
After breakfast we will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, where we will have the great opportunity to see a large variety of Giant Galápagos tortoises as representatives to the most important islands on the archipelago. Afterwards, we will take the public speedboat to Isabela (14:00), which lasts approximately 2 ½ hours. We will arrive to Isabela Island, and after a brief rest at the hotel we will head to the Flamingo Lagoon, which is the largest coastal lagoon found in the Galapagos and is one of the main reproductive sites for the majority of flamingos. Overnight in Isabela Island.

Day 4 Isabela Island: Volcan Sierra Negra & Chico – Concha Perla
Early in the morning after breakfast, we will have a full day tour of the Sierra Negra Volcano. This volcano is located 13 miles from Puerto Villamil and is the world’s second largest volcanic crater, measuring 6 miles in diameter and 300 feet deep. We will hike the crater and enjoy the view of the beach below before continuing on to Volcan Chico, a still active volcano which warms the surrounding ground. (Box lunch will be provided). In the afternoon, we will return to the hotel and later we will have the opportunity to go snorkeling in Concha Perla. Overnight in Isabela Island.

DAY 5: Transfer out Baltra Airport (Visit “The Twins” on way out)
Early in the morning (06:00 am), we will take the public speedboat from Isabela to Puerto Ayora, where the guide will be waiting for you and where we will eat breakfast. After that we continue our journey to the Baltra Airport, but on the way we will stop by “The Twins” (a.k.a.“The Gemelos”), which are similar to craters, but instead were formed by a collapse of the earth due to lava flows that passed below. The tour will end upon the arrival to the airport where you will catch your plane to either Quito or Guayaquil. – B –

Hotel Selection: The hotel selection depends on the category of hotels that you choose. We will indicate which hotels are available for the dates of your trip according to the category selected. Hotels are categorized as follows: Economic Class, Tourist Class, Tourist Superior Class, and First Class. All hotels used were carefully chosen after close inspection. The Hotel San Vicente Galapagos (Tourist Class), and La Laguna Galapagos (Tourist Superior Class), both of which are located on Isabela and for both the quality of service can be assured.

Airfare Not Included: The price of the tour does not include air tickets. We can help with your booking. You may also book flights on your own – please note on what island you will need to arrive and leave from. Try to arrive in the morning (before 12am) and leaving in the afternoon (11AM or later) – don’t miss any part of the tour. You can book your flight through TAME, AEROGAL, LAN.

Galapagos Restaurants: We work with restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; this will also depend on the category of hotel that is chosen, as not all hotels have restaurant services. Meals are served in the fashion of the local customs as “meal of the day”. First class hotels will have meals on the hotel gourmet style. By patronizing local restaurants, we also contribute to the local economy, which contributes to sustainable tourism. For the diving day tours a lunch box and a snack will be provided.

Galapagos Lunch and Diner: during our tours are served in “meal of the day” (not a la carte) style. Most provisions are bought in form the mainland to Galapagos, hence, a limited variety of food can be found. If you require vegetarian meals, let us know ahead of time so we can make all arrangements necessary within the possibilities.

Galapagos Guides: You will have local guides for each island and for each adventure activity. The guide will accompany you throughout all excursions and visits, give explanations and education on their knowledge and coordinate the activities each day. The guide will also indicate the restaurants where lunch and dinner will be served, but he will not go with you to the restaurants. Guided activities end after each excursions. Distances are short in the Galapagos, and as and it is safe to walk around any time of day with normal precaution.

Public Speedboats: We recommend taking a seasickness pill before the speedboat ride between islands. It is also recommended that you carry on small plastic bags in case of seasickness. The speedboats are not completely covered so please make sure that valuables and electronics, is stored in a plastic bag. The guide will not go with you on the speedboats but a new guide will greet you on the other side. There are no services onboard the speedboat as space is limited and the journey is relatively short.

Schedule of Excursions: The schedule of the excursions will be coordinated and determined locally through the guide and those responsible for the operations. The guide will indicate what time each activity will start. The transfers between islands on the public speedboats are the only activities that have fixed departure times.
