DAY 1: San Cristobal: Interpretation Center – Tijeretas – Playa Carola:
Transfer from Quito or Guayaquil to San Cristóbal Island. After lunch, we will visit The San Cristobal Interpretation Center where we will learn about the islands, evolution of their species, fauna, migration, and how humans came to live there. Then will make our way to “Cerro Tijeretas”, or “Frigate Hill” for some snorkelling. Then we will go to “Playa Carola” for our first contact with the beautiful waters of these islands. DAY 2: – Santa Cristobal: Hike on the Highlands (OR choose ONE of the following options):

Hike on the Highlands (standard itinerary)
After breakfast, we will visit the Highlands of San Cristobal our first stop is “Mirador de la Soledad”, where we will enjoy magnificent views of San Cristobal Island. Then we will go to the Junco Lagoon, the only fresh water lagoon in San Cristobal. Lunch at a local farm in the Highlands will be followed by a short stop at Playa de Puerto Chino. On the way back we will pass-by the spot in the highlands, where we will be able to see how the people of the island cultivate their food and wonderful coffee

OPTION A – Isla Lobos + Playa Ochoa (navigation to this spot is subject to availability):
Isla Lobos Island ia a small islet separated from the main by a narrow channel. In this place we find nesting blue-footed boobies (according to season) and of course with a large colony of sea lions that rest and play on rocky shores. Many birds inhabit the place, frigates, brown pelicans, lava gulls, common boobies, yellow warblers and finches earth. The snorkeling in the clear waters of the channel is unforgettable, with the opportunity to swim with sea lions. Time to enjoy Playa Ochoa. We return to Puerto Baquerizo between 2:30 and 3 PM. After a rest, have dinner in the restaurant indicated.
OPTION B – Kicker Rock + Beach Time: (extra charge)
This site is also known as Sleeping Lion or “León Dormido”. Getting to this spot takes 1hr of navigation in a small speed boat. The first stop will be right before we arrive Kicker Rock (going down of Cerro Tijeretas) for some fine swimming and snorkeling. However, Kicker Rock itself is considered one of the most outstanding snorkeling sites in the Galapagos. The excursion consists of two snorkel immersions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon after lunch. A Box Lunch will be served in the boat, as this part of the islands are inhabited. Afterwards, we will make our way towards a deserted beach to observe wildlife and relax. We will head back to the boat and return to San Cristobal. Return time to Puerto Baquerizo is scheduled around 4pm. After a rest, you will have dinner in the restaurant specified by the guide.

DAY 3: Transfer to Santa Cruz: Highlands (Tortoises) / Tortuga Bay Beach
After breakfast, we will transfer from (06:00 AM) San Cristobal to Puerto Ayora (Santa Cruz Is.). We will then visit the Highlands of Santa Cruz to make closer contact with the giant Galapagos tortoises as well as birds, like the Bird Wizard and finches. All day, we will be surrounded by the endemic vegetation of the Galapagos, such as escalecias and matazarnos. In the afternoon we will make our way to the beautiful white sand beach Tortuga Bay. After a short hike, we may relax on the calm waters and the awsome landscape. Hotel Accomodations – B – L – D
DAY 4: Charles Darwin Station/ Transfer to Isabela Island – Flamingos Lagoon
After breakfast, we will first visit the Galápagos National Park and Charles Darwin Research Station and its interpretive Center. Here we will have the great opportunity to see a large variety of Giant Galápagos tortoises as representatives to the most important islands on the archipelago.
Afterwards, we will head to Puerto Ayora for a visit to the most famous art galleries there. We will then take the public speedboat to Isabela Island (at 14:00 pm), where after arrival we make a short visit to the Flamingos Lagoon.

DAY 5: – Isabela Island: (choose from ONE of the following options)
OPTION 1: Sierra Negra and Chico Hike + Concha Perla:
Early in the morning (8:00 am). get ready for the Sierra Negra Volcano hike by putting on comfortable walking shoes, a rain jacket just in case, sunscreen, lots of water, hats and making sure your cameras are stored in waterproof bags. You will prepare a box lunch to take with you, as the hike is long. After a 45 minute ride by truck you will start the adventure. There is an option to ride horses for an additional cost, let us know beforehand. Sierra Negra Volcano has the second largest crater in the world, measuring approximately 6 miles in diameter and 300 feet deep. You will aslo reach Volcan Chico before heading back.
After a short hotel break you will spend the afternoon snorkeling in Concha Perla with sea lions, colorful varieties of fish, and with luck sea turtles. Return to the hotel for dinner at a local restaurant. Accommodation in the hotel class of your choice. B – L – D
(LONG HIKE + SNORKEL)
OPTION 2: Full Day: Visit Cabo Rosa aka. Tuneles (extra charge):
Cabo Rosa aka. Los Tuneles is perhaps one of the most beautiful sights in the archipelago. Continuous volcanic eruptions petrified into tunnel-like lava formations right in the middle of the sea, and crystal clear turquoise water allows an amazing view of marine vegetation and playful sea lions. The tour begins early at 8:00am via speedboat and the first stop is a small islet in the middle of the ocean, home to pelicans, blue-footed boobies, and sea lions. Finados snorkeling site is the next stop, where you can swim next to sea turtles, Tintoreras sharks (endemic to the islands), trumpetfish and surgeon fish. With some luck, eagle and golden rays will come to this site too. Getting to Los Tuneles will take around 1 ½ – 2 hrs. Once there, the speedboat will navigate through various spots in and around the Lava Tunnels. Here you get the chance to do some more snorkeling and enjoy some short walks while observing the landscape and wildlife inhabiting the area. A box lunch will be provided for this day. Return to Isabela Island is programmed at 15h00. Dinner will be served at the local restaurant specified by the guide.
DAY 6: – Isabela Island: Tintoreras Islet / Humedales Complex
After breakfast, we will visit the Tintores Islet; It is called this due to a large crevice with very clear, calm water in which white-tip sharks known as “tintoreras” come daily to rest on the bottom. As a ¨Tintorera¨ we will also have the chance to watch other animals native to the region like penguins, and sea lions. Snorkeling is also great on this spot, you can swim next to colorful fish, sharks and rays. On the afternoon we visit Humedales Complex inluding The Giant Tortoise Breeding Center, the famous “Muro de las Lágrimas”, the enormous lava rocks wall built during the times Isabella Island was designated as a penal colony (1946 to 1959) . Additionally, we will visit “Mirador Orchidia" and el “estero de Isabela”. Hotel Accomodations – B – L – D
DAY 7: – Isabela Island: Highlands – Kayaking at Puerto Villamil Bay
After breakfast and depending on the tide, we will make our way to the dock and prepare for the kayaking excursion. After listening to the instructions and safety precautions, and once equipped with lifejackets and oars, we will begin rowing towards Tintoreras Islet where we will be able to observe a variety of fauna from our kayaks, including Penguins, Blue-footed Boobies, and Marine Iguanas. We will make our way up to El Faro before heading back to shore (appx. 2 hours). After this we will return for a well-deserved lunch.
In the afternoon we you will grab bikes again to visit the Highlands of Isabel. After being tansported by truck to Campo Duro starting point. 42 Giant Galapagos Tortoises in a semi-natural inhabit the protected environment. On the way you will also visit the Mirador del Mango, La Cueva de Sucre (lava formations). After this bike adventure, you will then return to the hotel to have dinner at a local restaurant. DAY 8: Transfer out Baltra Airport (Visit “The Twins” on way out)
Early in the morning (06:00 am), we will take the public speedboat from Isabela to Puerto Ayora, where our guide will be waiting for you and then we take a breakfast, after that we continue the travel to travel to Baltra Airport, but on the way we will stop by "The Twins" (a.k.a. “The Gemelos”), which are similar to craters, but formed by a collapse of the Earth because of the lava flows that passed below it. The tour will end upon the arrival to the airport where we will depart to Quito or Guayaquil. -B-
